Uriel Epshtein is the CEO of Renew Democracy Initiative. Under his leadership, RDI has supported pro-democracy dissidents, expanded civic education programs, and delivered nearly $15 million in humanitarian assistance to Ukraine since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion. He frequently convenes policymakers, business leaders, and civil society actors to address threats posed by authoritarian regimes. Uriel previously worked in the private sector at the Boston Consulting Group and in the transportation sector at Uber and DoorDash. He speaks fluent Russian and French and is a regular commentator on democracy, US foreign policy, and authoritarianism.
